A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FOURTH POLLING LOCATION IN THE CITY OF FOLEY CORPORATE LIMITS

 

Body

WHEREAS, there are currently three polling locations in the Corporate Limits of The City of Foley for National, State and County elections; and

WHEREAS, during recent past elections the wait time for some voters to vote was unacceptably long; and

WHEREAS, the Probate Judge of Baldwin County requested that a fourth polling location be established in city limits of Foley; and

WHEREAS, Saint Margaret Catholic Church located at 601 W. Laurel Avenue in Foley has agreed to become the fourth polling location within the city limits of Foley; and

WHEREAS, a fifth polling place still remains at Magnolia Springs Wesleyan Church in Magnolia Springs, Alabama.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

                     SECTION 1.     That Saint Margaret Catholic Church located at 601 W. Laurel Avenue in Foley is hereby made an additional, fourth polling location in the Corporate Limits of The City of Foley for all National, State and County elections.

           SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
