WHEREAS, FEMA is accepting applications for the FY2014 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to purchase additional fire equipment, and
WHEREAS, the deadline to apply is December 5, 2014, and
WHEREAS, we will request up to $100,000 with a $5,000 match.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the FY2014 AFG program application for up to $100,000 with $5,000 in matching funds to be used for fire equipment.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
