WHEREAS, Resolution 13-0185 approved the application to the USDA's RBEG program for grant assistance to provide essential equipment needed for the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market in the amount of $100,000 with no match required, and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded the grant for $100,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the USDA's Rural Business Enterprise Grant funds in the amount of $100,000 to be used for equipment needs of the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market. There is no City match required.
SECTION 2: Appoints Suzanne Kellams to serve as the Grant Manager, who will be responsible for submitting all required reports, reimbursement requests, and other correspondence to the Granting Agency.
SECTION 3: Amends the budget accordingly and approves the expenditure of the grant funds. The following accounts shall used: Expense Account 12-665-7335, Revenue Account 12-5825.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
