Summary
The Residential Sanitation Department is requesting to rescind Resolution #21-1362 because we are unable to obtain the promised truck before our deadline due to the supply chain issues. The company building the chassis cannot deliver them to the company for the body, so the two can be assembled in the required amount of time before our deadline. Instead, the Residential Sanitation Department is requesting to use funds towards the purchase of a completed truck - 2022 Peterbilt 520 Chassis with Rotopac ASL body - from Sansom Equipment Company, who can guarantee rapid delivery, for a total of $306,111.00 through Sourcewell Contract# 091219-NWY. This is an addition to the Residential Sanitation fleet and would be purchased under Account# 601-1951. This Recycle Truck is needed to better serve our citizens and their sanitation needs.
