Body

WHEREAS, the City of Foley has determined that the creation of a Graham Creek Nature Preserve Advisory Board will assist City staff in future decisions on improvements, events and programs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Advisory Board Defined: An Advisory Board is a board appointed to advise the Mayor and Council in the area of its specialty.
SECTION 2: Board Membership: The board shall consist of seven (7) members. The members of the board shall serve for three-year terms at the pleasure of the City Council without compensation. The Board must elect its own chairperson and vice-chairperson in January of every year and will not be permitted to serve over three consecutive years. Committee appointments must be made in May of each year for the following fiscal year.
SECTION 3: Qualifications: Members of the Graham Creek Nature Preserve Advisory Board shall reflect knowledge in ecology, biology, habitat management, recreation related to nature parks, environmental education, and/or nature parks.
