WHEREAS, WKRG News 5 approached the Centennial Committee about a possible media partnership for Foley's Centennial throughout 2015. WKRG would contribute over $100,000 in promotion for 2015 while selling sponsorships of Centennial packages that are affordable for all businesses, so everyone can participate. In kind, The City of Foley will allow WKRG to be the Official Media Partner of Foley's Centennial. WKRG will be the only TV station allowed to sell packages for the Centennial, however, other stations can cover any of the events.WKRG will support all the events and provide extensive coverage throughout the year, and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Committee recommends that the City accepts their agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts an agreement with WKRG News 5 naming them The Official Media Partner of Foley's Centennial Year of 2015.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
