WHEREAS, Administration included the construction of a Dog Park and Parking Lot estimated at $138,000 on newly purchased property in the FY14 Capital Projects Plan and,
WHEREAS, the FY14 Capital Project Plan included $306,000 for Phase V Streetscape of which $152,500 was for Rose Trail Improvements.
WHEREAS, there is a need to increase the Dog Park and Parking Lot construction estimate and forego Rose Trail Improvements this FY.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Approves moving forward with construction of the Dog Park and Parking Lot on property acquired from Whoville, LLC.
SECTION 2:     Appropriates up to $290,500 to account 12-665-7333, R12, DOG PK/PRK LOT.
SECTION 3:       Approves hiring WAS Design as the architectural design firm for the project at an estimated cost of $11,700 and approves the attached agreement.
SECTION 4:      Authorizes City staff to initiate bids, as necessary, for the components of the project being hired out.
SECTION 5:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
