WHEREAS, The Council adopted Resolution #20-1116 on May 4, 2020 implementing spending reduction measures of which included gaining permission of Council for the filling of vacant positions. This resolution authorizes the re-filling of four upcoming vacancies due to promotion, effective September 1, 2020. All of the action in this resolution is budget neutral.

WHEREAS, The Council adopted Resolution #20-1116 on May 4, 2020 implementing spending reduction measures of which included gaining permission of Council for the re-filling of vacant positions. This resolution authorizes the re-filling of three upcoming vacancies in the Police Department due to promotions; 1) Deputy Chief of Police and 2) the Commander/Patrol Division position and 3) the Sergeant/Patrol position, and, one upcoming vacancy in the Sanitation Department for a Sanitation Worker II. All of the action in this resolution is budget neutral.

                     

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Authorizes the re-filling of three upcoming vacancies in the Police Department; 1) Deputy Chief of Police; 2) the Commander/Patrol Division; 3) Sergeant/Patrol, effective September 1, 2020.

SECTION 2: Authorizes the re-filling of one upcoming vacancy in the Sanitation Department for a Sanitation Worker II, effective September 1, 2020.

SECTION 3:  All action in this resolution is budget neutral.

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
