Summary

The Engineering Department requests permission to apply for the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP-II) for signal and intersection improvements to three intersections on Foley Beach Express. These intersections would include CR12, CR20, and Hwy 98 at Foley Beach Express. The maximum grant award is $2,000,000. There are no set match requirement, but we anticipate including up to a 20% match based on projected project costs. Applications are due by November 15, 2024.

 

 

Body

                     WHEREAS, The Engineering Department requests permission to apply for the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP-II) for signal and intersection improvements to three intersections on Foley Beach Express at CR12, CR20, and Hwy 98, and

 

                     WHEREAS, the maximum grant award is $2,000,000 with no set match requirements, but we anticipate including up to a 20% match based on projected project costs, and

 

                     WHEREAS, applications are due by November 15, 2024.

 

                     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

                      SECTION 1: Approves Engineering Department to complete and submit the grant application for the FY25 Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP-II) for Signal Improvements on Foley Beach Express Intersections.

 

             SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
