A Resolution Accepting Costs for the Dilapidated Building Abatement at the 1810 S. Cedar Street and Authorizing a Copy to be Sent to the Baldwin County Tax Collector

 

Body

 WHEREAS, the property located at the 311 W. 5th Avenue has been abated and an accounting of the costs were posted on the Chamber door five days prior to being submitted to the City Council for their review pursuant to Code of Alabama, 1975 Sections 11-67-26 and 11-67-27 as follows:

 

 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1: Accepts the total costs in the amount of $1720.90 for the abatement of a dilapidated building located at 311 W. 5th Avenue and authorizes the City Clerk to forward a copy of the costs to the Baldwin County Tax Collector to be collected under the “Optional Method of Taxation” pursuant to Sections 11-51-40 through 11-51-74 Code of Alabama, 1975; whereupon it shall be the duty of said tax collector to add the amounts of the respective weed lien to the next regular bill for taxes levied against the respective parcel of land.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
