Approval requested by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to hold a one day festival and serve alcohol in the streets of Historic Downtown Foley on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
The Chamber also requests closure of Orange Avenue between Johnston & Daniel to the west and Hwy 59 to the east, Alston street from Hwy 98 to the north and just north of Verbena Avenue beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 and reopening at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014. In addition, they ask to use the parking lot near Wright Pharmacy during this time period.
The Chamber also requests approval to allow merchants in the Downtown Foley Historic District to bring their merchandise outdoors onto City sidewalks and festival designated public parking areas during the Alabama Festival of Flavor, October 19, 2013 from 8:00 A.M until 7:00 P.M. for the areas encompassed within the variance would include the perimeter from Chicago Street on the East.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce's request to hold a one day festival, the Alabama Festival of Flavor on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
SECTION 2: Approves the serving of alcoholic beverages in a non-corralled designated area based upon ABC Board approval.
SECTION 3: Approves the temporary road closures of downtown Foley for the Festival of Flavor beginning at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014 until 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 for the following streets:
