A Resolution to Allocate and Spend Capital Project Funds for Design and Construction Services for the Event Center Parking Lot.

 

Summary

Foley Sports Tourism is requesting moving forward with design and engineering services for the Event Center Parking Lot to Resurface and Expand  This resolution requests an allocation of $77,800 to account 400-5041-6197 Event Center.  The request will cover the fee from Thompson Engineering

 

Capital Project - **If requesting to start a project, a Capital Project Worksheet form must be attached**

      In current year Capital Projects Plan: 

        __X___ Yes, described as _Foley Sports Tourism Event Center, planned amount $_250,000.00_, requesting $_77,800 as an estimate for the design work, including contingencies, under account #_400-5041-6197.

 

Body

   WHEREAS, the City of Foley Event Center Parking Lot is in need or resurfacing and expansion, and,

   WHEREAS, Thompson Engineering has provided a proposal for $77,800 for design and construction engineering services, and

   WHEREAS, Foley Sports Tourism request an allocation of $77,800 to cover all design and engineering work,

 

   NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

   SECTION 1:  Appropriates $77,800 for design and construction plans for the Foley Sports Tourism for account #400-5041-6197 Event Center;

 

   SECTION 2:  Approves expenditures up to $77,800 to Thompson Engineering.

 

   SECTION 3:  Authorizes the Mayor to sign the contract for services

 

   SECTION 4:  This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
