WHEREAS, the sound system that is currently used in the Foley Civic Center operates on the same radio frequency as the Homeland Security which is in violation of Federal Laws; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for new sound equipment to bring the Foley Civic Center's sound system in compliance with Federal Laws and Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of new sound equipment in the amount of $2,566.14 from Alpha Sound and Lighting Co. for the Foley Civic Center and amends Municipal Complex Capital Purchase Account 01-616-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
