DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC: (who, what, when, where, why, and how much)
 
The State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law and has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov.  All newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
Mayor John Koniar appointed Christi Koehle and Tom DeBell  to fill the vacant seats on the Planning Commission left by John Foley IV and David Horton. Christi Koehle is appointed to fill John Foley IV's position beginning on June 24, 2013 and her term of office will expire on June 1, 2016. Tom DeBell is appointed to fill David Horton's postion beginning June 24, 2013 and his term of office will expire on October 4, 2016 based on the conditions that they submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
