A Resolution Approving Automatic Aid Agreements with Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for Structure Fire Response

The Foley Fire Department is seeking to enter into automatic aid agreements with Gulf Shores and Orange Beach for automatic dispatch of firefighting resources to structure fires in certain areas of our bordering jurisdictions. This response will help provide better response times and needed equipment and personnel for more effective and safer firefighting efforts. The initial agreement with Gulf Shores would cover our southern jurisdiction along County Rd 10 from Hwy 59 to County Rd 65. In return, we would respond to their northern jurisdiction along County Rd 8 from FBE to Hwy 59. The initial agreement with Orange Beach would cover our southeast jurisdiction for all areas south of County Rd 12 and east of FBE, including Graham Creek. In return, we would cover all areas adjacent to FBE south to the Intracoastal Waterway.
