A Resolution Approving the Purchase of a 2020 Boom Mower with Attachments
Summary
Street Department - Maintenance requests to purchase a 2020 Mower Max 30' Boom Mower with a 60" Rotary Head, 90 degree swivel head, back up camera and back up alarm from Coblentz Equipment & Parts Co., Inc for a total cost of $178,502.00 through State of Alabama Right Of Way Mower Contract T226 Line 62-02064. It will be an addition to the Street Department - Maintenance fleet and was included in the FY20 budget under account# 100-3012-5100 for $180,000.00 as a Boom Mower. It will be used to cut grass & trees from ditches and it will also shape/cut back ROW tree lines. It is needed because our current 2014 Kabota boom mower continues to break down and will not be able to handle grass mowing demands this coming summer.
