There is a vacancy on the Senior Center Advisory Board due to the passing of Charlie Fisher.  Teresa Neese has recommended Jeanette McDaniel to fill this vacancy.  It would be the Senior Center's recommendation to fill the vacancy with Jeanette McDaniel.

                     WHEREAS,  the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and

                     Whereas, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and

                     WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1:                      Appoints Jeanette McDaniel to the Senior Center Advisory Board beginning April 3, 2017 to fill the unexpired term left by the passing Charlie Fisher, which expires on October 18, 2018 based on the conditions that she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

SECTION 2:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
