WHEREAS, the Foley Police Department has a need to convert one (1) Patrol Officer position to one (1) School Resource Corporal within the City's Pay Classification Plan in order to have a Police Officer in each school in Foley; and
WHEREAS, there will be no budget adjustment needed for the FY13 budget year and the anticipated budget increase for next fiscal budget is estimated to cost an additional $4,233.00 in salaries and benefits.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      One (1) Patrol Officer position is hereby converted to one (1) School Resource Corporal position within the City's Pay Classification Plan and Budget Roster;      
SECTION 2:      This action will take effect upon the promotion and/or hiring of an employee to fill the vacant position of the newly created School Resource Corporal position;
SECTION 3:       No budget funds are necessary for this action;
SECTION 4:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
