Summary
The Environmental Department has been awarded a subrecipient grant agreement by the Dauphin Island Sea Lab & the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP). The MBNEP has awarded the City of Foley $247,514.00 to design and upgrade the Michigan Street Regional Detention Facility to incorporate low impact development techniques. The expenses for this project have already been budgeted in FY25, but we need to accept the grant and amend the grant revenue account.

WHEREAS, The Environmental Department has been awarded a subrecipient grant agreement by the Dauphin Island Sea Lab & the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP), and

WHEREAS, MBNEP has awarded the City of Foley $247,514.00 to to design and upgrade the Michigan Street Regional Drainage Facility to address stormwater management through low impact development techniques, and

WHEREAS, the Environmental Department requests the following accounts be amended accordingly: 400-2040-4201 (MBNEP Grant - Beulah Heights Regional Drainage) in the amount of $247,514.00, and

WHEREAS, the Environmental Department requests to memorialize the Mayor's signature to the SubRecipient Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
