Title
Consider the transfer of approximately one acre to the City of Foley

Summary
Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much)

Consider the transfer of approximately one acre to the City of Foley in order to continue the expansion of the Farmers Market.  Instead of leasing the land as originally thought the City would like to sell the property with restrictions that it must be used for hydroponic greenhouse or retail/restaurant.  This will still create jobs and revenue for the City.  The City will take this up at Monday night's Council meeting.

Body
WHEREAS,  a business owner would like to proceed with plans to build a business on approximately one acre located at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market, and
WHEREAS, in order for the owner to get the financing the bank is requiring the land not be leased but owned by the owner, and the land will be used as collateral safety by the bank, and
WHEREAS, The Public Facilities Cooperative District will need to transfer the land back to the City of Foley for their consideration to sell the property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Foley Public Facilities Cooperative District, as follows:
SECTION 1:     That the Public Facilities Cooperative District conceptually agrees to transfer approximately 1.4 acres of land for the use by Craine Creek Farms as a hydroponics production facility contingent upon the final plat being approved by the Planning Commission.
SECTION 2:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
