A Resolution Reappointing Roderick Burkle to the Foley Building Authority, Foley Library Authority, Foley Public Park & Recreation Authority and Foley Redevelopment Authority

 

Summary

Roderick's term expires November 15, 2020.  He is willing to serve another term of office.  

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and

WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and

WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

                     SECTION 1:                     Reappoints Roderick Burkle to the Foley Building Authority, Foley Library Authority, Foley Public Park & Recreation Authority and Foley Redevelopment Authority

beginning  November 16, 2020 and ending on November 17, 2026 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

SECTION 2:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
