A Resolution Amending Section 6 of Resolution 4120-10 Amending Resolution 785-92 and Resolution 1039-95 and Defining the Scope of the Museum-Archives Advisory Board

WHEREAS, on June 21, 2010, Council adopted Resolution 4120-10, which amended Resolutions 785-92 and 1039-95, and
WHEREAS, on October 2, 2023, Council adopted Resolution 23-1369, which closed the Museum-Archive checking account, and
WHEREAS, Resolution 4120-10 Section 6 lists the Duties of the Museum-Archive Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, subsection 4 states, "Act in an advisory capacity to the volunteers who maintain and operate the "O" gauge model train exhibit. Any expenditures over $250.00 must be approved by the Board", and
WHEREAS, Resolution 4120-10 subsection 4 shall be amended to remove “Any expenditures of $250 must be approved by the Board” and changed to say "Budgeting and purchasing recommendations of the Advisory Board and the club that maintains the model train (Caboose Club) are now to be brought to the Marketing Director for consideration and presentation to Council. Budgeting and purchasing are to be administered in accordance with city policies and procedures", and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends subsection 4 of Section 6 of Resolution 4120-10 to remove “Any Expenditures of $250 must be approved by the Board”, and changed to include, "Budgeting and purchasing recommendations of the Advisory Board and the club that maintains the model train (Caboose Club) are now to be brought to the Marketing Director for consideration and presentation to Council. Budgeting and purchasing are to be administered in accordance with city policies and procedures."
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
