A Resolution to Declare a Council Vacancy in The City of Foley Council District 3

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on The City of Foley Council for District 3 due to the passing of Council Member Richard Dayton on August 21, 2025; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to §11-44G-1(a), Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, the Council of The City of Foley intends to appoint Roderick Burkle as successor to fill this vacancy and
serve the remainder of the unexpired term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama:
Section 1. That a vacancy is hereby declared in The City of Foley Council District 3.
Section 2. The Council of The City of Foley intends to appoint Roderick Burkle as successor to fill this vacancy and serve the remainder of the unexpired term, on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and publication as required by law.
