WHEREAS, Act #2014-321 allows municipalities to submit debts to the Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) for interception under procedures established by said Act, namely setting off against any refund, as defined in Section 40-18-100 Code of Alabama 1975, the sum of any debt owed to the municipality.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor of the City of Foley, Alabama, is hereby authorized to enter into a “Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement” with Municipal Intercept Services, LLC, (“MIS”), 535 Adams Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama 36104 (P.O. Box 1270, Montgomery, Alabama 36102).
