A Resolution Approving the Purchase & Installation of 2 New Fuel Pumps and a New Fuel Tank
Summary
The Public Works Department requests to purchase 2 new Fuel Pumps for Unleaded and Diesel at $20,563.25 and a 500 gallon fuel tank for non-ethanol gas for small engine equipment at $5895.45 for a total amount of $26,458.70 under the Sourcewell Contract #092920-DVR from Mike Hoffman's Equipment Service, INC. This was included in the FY21 budget for $30,000 under account# 100-1060-5100. The fuel pumps will be a replacement of the current fuel pumps, which are 22 years old (Purch in 1999). The city has grown, and so has the number of employees & vehicles/equipment. We have been having multiple issues with the current pumps and it is costing too much in repairs & down time. The 500 gallon tank is an addition for small engine equipment that do not work well on regular unleaded with ethanol. This will also help the Police Department and Fire Department who are having to buy fuel outside the system for their equipment.
