   Body

     WHEREAS, Foley High School will be administering the ACT on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, and

     WHEREAS, the test scores directly affect the perception and ranking of the school, and

     WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the breakfast serves as a public purpose by providing nourishment and punctual attendance for the ACT .

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:   City Council determines that the purchase of breakfast sandwiches for ACT test attendees serves a public purpose;

     SECTION 2:   Approves a budget  increase of the budget of $1200 for account 100-1011-6052 Public Relations/Community Dev-GG Admin

     SECTION 3:   City Council approves expenditure to Foley High School in the amount of $1,200 for breakfast sandwiches

     SECTION 4:   This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
