Requesting funding to purchase a mass storage device for the In Car Video System. This system will allow up to 12 months of storage and will also provide a secondary backup should the main drive go down. We are currently using external hard drives and have had a few to go bad which meant we lost all the data. This system will ensure we will not be as susceptable to this kind of mishap in the future.
Summary
DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC: Will be purchasing two complete systems one with 16TB storage and one with 24TB storage. This units will run in tandrum giving us 10TB storage and 10TB backup. We will be purchasing from best buy as they have provided the best pricing on these units. The units will be in the secure sever room for protection.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of two mass storage units from Best Buy for the In Car Video System in the amount of $4,699.98. This is a budgeted item under Account No. 01-608-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
