Summary
The Street Department and Horticulture Department request to memorialize and approve two (2) vehicles to be declared surplus and approved for auction or disposal by the best means possible. Clayton Auctions held their bi-yearly auction on January 19th and 20th, 2024 and were unable to get Council action in time. The vehicles are:

WHEREAS, the Street Department has 1 vehicle that is worn out and costing too much in repairs, AND
WHEREAS, the Horticulture Department has 1 vehicle that is worn out and costing too much in repairs, AND
WHEREAS, they are requesting to memorialize and approve that the two vehicles be declared surplus and approved for auction or disposal by the best possible means,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes and Declares the 1 Street Department vehicle as surplus and approves it to go to auction or disposal of them by the best possible means: #301187 (Purch 1999) - 1999 Ford 800 Flat Bed- VIN/SER# 3FEWF80C3XMA09291 - Asset# 3233
SECTION 2: Memorializes and Declares the 1 Horticulture vehicle as surplus and approves it to go to auction or disposal of them by the best possible means: #505020 (Purch 03/08/2013) - 2000 Dodge Dakota- VIN/SER# 1B7FL26XXYS634725- Asset# 10311
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
