The city council previously approved thsi application and the application was submitted by staff. The Department of Commerce reviewed our application and provided feedback to the city regarding modifications they would like to see within the application. This resolution is to allow staff to re-submit the modified application to the Department of Commerce.

WHEREAS, The Foley City Council authorizes a grant application to be submitted to the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA).
AND WHEREAS, The purpose of the grant is to upgrade drainage improvements from Juniper Drive to Wolf Creek to alleviate area flooding.
AND WHEREAS, The total project cost is estimated to be $4,210,000, The City will request approximately $3,368,000 in EDA funds, and The City will provide local matching funds of approximately $842,000.
AND WHEREAS, The City will provide matching funds from available city funds or from a loan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
