A Resolution Waiving Fees for Foley Lions Club to Use the Old Foley Sports Complex for the LeTour De Foley 2026 Bicycle Ride.

 

Summary

The Foley Lions Club and Jerry Renkenberger are requesting assistance from Public Safety officials for the bike route as well as the use of the Old Foley Sports Complex entrance pavilion, bathrooms and parking on November 14, 2026 from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm for the LeTour De Foley charity bike ride.  They are planning to have 3 six-foot tables and chairs for volunteers, refreshments, prizes and a hand-held bullhorn for the welcome and the ride start. They respectfully request that the fees for the use of the Foley Sports Complex be waived.  All proceeds for the event allow the civic groups participating to continue community service in this area.

WHEREAS, Foley Lions Club and Jerry Renkenberger has requested assistance from Public Safety for coordinating the bike route as well as the use of the Old Foley Sports Complex entrance pavilion, bathrooms and parking  at no charge on November 14, 2026 from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm for the LeTour De Foley charity bike ride, and 

 

WHEREAS, they are planning to have 3 six-foot tables and chairs, refreshments, prizes and a hand-held bullhorn for the welcome and the ride start, and

 

WHEREAS, they are requesting all fees to be waived.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Approves waiving the fees for the use of the Old Foley Sports Complex as requested by Foley Lions Club and Jerry Renkenberger on November 14, 2026 from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm.

 

SECTION 2: Approves the use of Public Safety officers to coordinate the route throughout Foley.

 

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
