WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a public hearing Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. to hear objections and other public comments on the matter of declaring the growth of weeds, grass and other vegetative growth on property located within the City of Foley located at Lot 1 Laurel Ave., and

WHEREAS, yard signs were not placed on the property as required by State Law, and

WHEREAS, legal ads were republished in the Foley Onlooker on February 21, 2024 and February 28, 2024. 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1:                     Ratifies and confirms Resolution 24-1035 Authorizing Employees to Enter Upon the Property at Lot 1 Laurel Ave. for the Purpose of Abating the Public Nuisance.SECTION 2:                     Authorizes employees to enter upon the property at Lot 1 Laurel Ave, for the purpose of abating the public nuisance.
SECTION 2:                     A complete record of the cost of abating the nuisance shall be kept and a total cost shall be rendered to the City Council at a meeting following the work. The itemized cost will be posted on the Council Chamber doors at least five days before the report is rendered. The Council shall take action to immediately collect or establish a lien against the property as prescribed in the State of Alabama Code.

SECTION 3:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
