A Resolution to move Jerry Wilkey from an alternate member to a regular member on the Board of Adjustments and Appeals Board and to appoint Terry Young as an alternate member.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards, and
WHEREAS, Joe Cabinass declined being reappointment to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals leaving a vacancy, and
WHEREAS, the Board recommends appointing Terry Young as an Alternate member.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
      SECTION 1:      Approves moving Jerry Wilkey from an Alternate member to a regular member to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals beginning February 2, 2015.
 
      SECTION 2:      Appoints Terry Young as an Alternate member to the Board of of Adjustment and Appeals beginning February 2, 2015.
 
SECTION 3:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
