A Resolution Approving the Purchase of New Carpet for FST Event Center.
Summary
The FY26 Capital Purchase Budget approved the request of New Carpet for $40,000.00, under account #100-5040-5100. This purchase will replace half the buildings carpet to complete the initial change out. This purchase will extend the life of the existing painted sport court surface and broaden market appeal to a wider range of event types. We received three quotes with the best one being from Enhance Mats, in the amount of $29,600. We are requesting to move forward to purchase the 30 rolls of Heavy-duty Court Armor Carpet System with Velcro edging. We request that the old carpet be declared surplus and disposed by the best means possible.

WHEREAS, Sports Tourism budgeted New Carpet under Account # 100-5040-5100. We received three quotes with the best one being from Enhance Mats, AND
WHEREAS, Sports Tourism is requesting to purchase 30 rolls of Heavy-duty Court Amor System Carpet with Velcro edging at 150’ long and 6’ wide, for the total cost of $29,600.00, under Account # 100-5040-5100.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase New Carpet from Enhance Mats for $29,600.00, under Account # 100-5040-5100.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
