Description of Topic: With the new Fire Station nearing completion and the anticipated staffing needs that it will create, the Fire Department wishes to begin their promotion process to promote three Firefighters to Senior Firefighters. Approving the slots now will allow the Fire Department to start the promotion process with final promotional hiring contingent upon final approval of the SAFER Grant funds. The effective date will be pay period beginning July 1, 2015 and will require a total of $3,318.71 to cover the remainder of the fiscal year.
