WHEREAS, the Archer Company recently completed a salary survey for the City of Foley and based on those results the City implemented a new Pay Classification Plan, and
WHEREAS, in the new Pay Classification Plan, several employees were moved from FLSA non-exempt status to FLSA exempt status, and
WHEREAS, many of these employees have accrued compensatory leave balances and there is a desire to pay out this compensatory time to the newly exempted employees at a cost not to exceed $28,000.    
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Authorizes the pay out of accrued compensatory time for all newly FLSA exempt employees and allocates funds in an amount not to exceed $28,000 in support of this action.    
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
