A Resolution to appoint LuAnne McCarley as an Alternate Member to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals beginning May 5, 2020 and ending on November 6, 2021 to fill the unexpired term of Keith Jiskra, who was moved from an alternate member to a regular member.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission offers an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, <http://www.ethics.alabama.gov,> and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appoints LuAnne McCarley as an Alternate Member to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals beginning May 5, 2020 and ending on November 6, 2021 based on the condition that she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
