The Baldwin County Trail Blazers have partnered with the Foley Lions Club to put on the Tour de Foley fundraiser. This year the Trail Blazers have decided not to partner with the Foley Lions Club for this event. They will not be expanding their events off of the Eastern Shore in the near distant future. Since the funds were budgeted to the Trail Blazers for the Tour de Foley it has been recommended that this be changed from the Baldwin County Trail Blazers to the Foley Lions Club since they will continue to host the event.

WHEREAS, the Baldwin County Trail Blazers have partnered with the Foley Lions Club in the past to host the Tour de Foley Fundraiser, and
WHEREAS, this year the Baldwin County Trail Blazers have decided not to continue the partnership with the Foley Lions Club for the Tour de Foley, and
WHEREAS, the Foley Lions Club desires to continue to host the Tour de Foley Fundraiser, and
WHEREAS, the FY15 budget includes a one time payment of $2,000 for the purpose of the Tour de Foley Fundraiser payable to the Baldwin County Trail Blazers, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the funds be redesignated to the Foley Lions Club to continue the Tour de Foley event.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
