Resolution Authorizing Advertisement of Request for Proposals for FY2020 CDBG Program Administration Services
Summary
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2020 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) through July 10, 2020. The City of Foley is interested in applying for CDBG funds to pay for upgrades to the Aaronville Park. The City intends to hire a qualified grant firm that specializes in CDBG grants to prepare the grant application and ADECA requires that such Professional Services be procured in accordance with Circular A-102, Attachment O, issued by the Office of Management and Budget, and the “Modified” Common Rule as Adopted by the State of Alabama in an open and competitive manner. City of Foley authorizes the placement of appropriate advertisements soliciting Requests for Proposals from qualified grant firms for said services.

WHEREAS, the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2020 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) through July 10, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley is interested in applying for CDBG funds to pay for upgrades to the Aaronville Park; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to hire a qualified grant firm that specializes in CDBG grants to prepare the grant application and ADECA requires that such Professional Services be procured in accordance with Circular A-102, Attachment O, issued by the Office of Management and Budget, and the “Modified” Common Rule as Adopted by the State of Alabama in an open and competitive manner;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: City of Foley authorizes the placement of appropriate advertisements soliciting Requests for Proposals from qualified grant firms for said services.
