WHEREAS, the City of Foley solicited bids and publicly opened them on February 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. for the construction of Foley Fire Station No. 1 Safe Room and the bids were as follows:

WHEREAS, Sycamore Construction submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $307,815.00 for the construction of Foley Fire Station No. 1 Safe Room.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the bid submitted by Sycamore Construction in the amount of $307,815.00 for the construction of Foley Fire Station No. 1 Safe Room contingent upon successful results from the felony background check, and appropriates funds to account number 12-665-7294, Q74 BID.
SECTION 2: Appropriates up to $2,500 in bid related costs to account number 12-665-7294, Q74, HMM.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
