DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC:
The present Radio recording system which operates on the old XP format has reached its limits. The system is no longer reliable to use to record the radio traffic. This system is not able to be expanded and will have to be discarded since reaching its end of use cycle. We are requesting to purchase from Quality Recording Systems, LLC the equipment necessary to have a secure and reliable source to record our two way radio traffic. This system will also record our dispatch incoming calls in such a way that allows replay right from the console using a very simple format, which, at this time we do not have. We will purchase this needed equipment using cash restricted for this type of purchase held in the Drug Fund and the Federal Forfeitures checking accounts. This cost shall not exceed 15,000.00 so as not to exceed the State Bid law amount. Requesting the funds be appropriated to account 01-608-7010, Capital Purchases with the necessary budget adjustments as needed once we have determined that this recording system is compatible to what we have in place at this time with our radio and phone system.
