A Resolution To Waive Community Development Fees To Minimum For Redemption Church/Coastal Rehabilitation for Women

Redemption Church  is requesting the City consider waiving building permits, land disturbance permits, zoning fees, engineering fees and environmental fees to the minimum for their construction project.

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, Redemption Church partners with Coastal Rehabilitation for Women to offer an addiction recovery program located at 302 South Alston Street in Foley, Alabama, and

WHEREAS, the Church desires to expand their housing offerings and they wish to further assist by modifying their secondary property located at 18047 US HWY 98 Foley, Alabama, and

WHEREAS, the existing structure has a two car carport attached to the dwelling and they Church would like to enclose the carport and remodel it to increase the overall heated and cooled square footage of the structure, and

WHEREAS, remodeling the structure of the carport will allow them to offer an additional bedroom and half bathroom for the residents the serve, and

WHEREAS,  Redemption Church requests that the City waive or reduce the building, environmental and engineering fees to the minimum and allow them to pay the minimum Community Development fees.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1:                     Approves waiving all but the minimum Community Development Department fees to the minimum for Redemption Church's construction project located at 18047 US Hwy 98 in Foley, AL 36535. 

SECTION 2:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
