WHEREAS, due to the record rain event of April 29, 2014, FEMA Event #4176-DR-AL, there is a need for repairs to the sloped paved ditch on East Section Avenue, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 14-0189 approved Volkert, Inc. to perform engineering services associated with the East Section Avenue slope paved ditch repairs in the amount of $100,500, and
WHEREAS, said amount included the construction cost which should have been omitted, making Volkert, Inc.'s total contract price to be $25,500.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends Resolution No. 14-0189 and approves Volkert, Inc.'s contract in the amount of $25,500, amending Account No. 01-660-8300 accordingly.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
