Appointment Matters for the Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board
Summary
Extend the term of the chair for one year and appointment a new vice chair
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No.3746-09 defined the term limits on the chairperson and vice-chair person of the Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board as not to exceed three consecutive years, and
WHEREAS, the current chair and vice-chair positions expire January 2013, however, the member that was to fill the chair position has resigned and no other members are interested in filling the position, and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to extend the term of the current chairperson, Carolyne Hollis, for no more than one year, and
WHEREAS, the current vice-chair, Bonnie Bodine, has submitted her resignation letter as of December 1, 2012 and the Board has nominated Pat Davis to fill the vice-chair position.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Extends the term of Chairperson Carolyne Hollis of the Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board for no more than one year.
SECTION 2: Accepts the resignation of Vice-Chair Person Bonnie Bodine and appoints Pat Davis as the new Vice-Chair effective
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
