Consider acceptance of ADCNR State Lands Grant for improvements at Wolf Creek Park property. The grant awards $50,000 with a 1:1 match. Of that match we expect to achieve $20,000 of in kind services. Improvements will include kayak launch, fishing pier, signage, parking area, small pavilion and picnic areas. The application was approved under Resolution 4792-12. Also request the creation of a new account and line items for the Wolf Creek Park Improvements found in FY13 Capital Projects Planning Document.

WHEREAS, the City of Foley proposes to construct a canoe/kayak launch, parking area, fishing pier and other small improvemnets at the proposed Wolf Creek Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley made application to the ADCNR State Lands Division, Coastal Section for $50,000 in grant assistance to develop the improvements at the Wolf Creek Park from the 306A Public Access Improvement Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley was awarded $50,000 in funding with a 50/50 match requirement and in kind services are allowed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the ADCNR Coastal Public Access Grant for $100,000, with $30,000 cash, $20,000 in kind services, and $50,000 grant funds to be used for Wolf Creek Park Improvements to include canoe/kayak launch, fishing pier, ...
