WHEREAS, ALDOT is soliciting applications for the new Transportation Alternatives Program for FY 2013, and
WHEREAS, the City's application would request funding for a bike path extension along the east side of Foley Beach Express , and
WHEREAS, there is a cap of $400,000 of federal funds that an entity can apply for with a 80/20 match, and
WHEREAS, the deadline to apply is June 28, 2013.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:       Approves an application to ALDOT for the FY 2013 Transportation Alternatives Program for bike paths along the east side of Foley Beach Express.
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
