Ordinance 17-2029 was adopted on July 17, 2017 without first holding a public hearing. Although subsection (e) of Section 11-45-8 states, "the provisions of Section 11-45-8 does not apply to the revision and codification of the ordinances of a municipality and the adoption of such code by ordinances as provided in Section 11-45-7", it is under the advice of the Alabama League of Municipalities that Ordinance 17-2029 be rescinded in order to hold a public hearing.

WHEREAS,Ordinance 17-2029 was adopted on July 5, 2017 without first holding a public hearing.
BE IT ORDAINED that the Foley City Council as follows:
Section 1. Rescinds Ordinances 17-2028 Amendments to the Manual for Design and Construction Standards Ordinance.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon its publication as required by law.
