A Resolution to Approve the Rental of Heritage Park for Lisa Yeater to host the Mudbugs & Margaritas Festival and a Variance to Allow Alcohol to be Sold


Summary
Lisa Yeater with Beach Life Events is requesting to rent Heritage Park to host the Mudbugs & Margaritas Festival. She is also requesting a variance to allow alcohol to be sold during the event being held Friday, April 4th & 5th, 2026. Lisa will start setting up at Heritage Park at 3PM - 6PM Thursday, April 2nd - Friday, April 3rd and the event will be from 10AM -5PM Saturday, April 4th and Sunday, April 5th 2026. They will have food trucks, corporate art and craft vendors, kid zone, live music and erected tents. They will charge $5.00 admission and she will need barricades. They will provide portable toilets. They will need to use the onsite power stations. They have been advised that they will need to provide a copy of their business license, liability insurance, alcohol sales license and insurance, and they will need to have off duty police officers on site due to alcohol sales.

WHEREAS, Lisa Yeater with Beach Life Events is requesting to rent Heritage Park to host the Mudbugs & Margaritas Festival, and
WHEREAS, Lisa will have food trucks, corporate art and craft vendors, kid zone, live music and erected tents, and
WHEREAS, Lisa is requesting a variance to allow alcohol to be sold during the event being held April 4th & 5th, 2026, and
WHEREAS, Lisa will rent Heritage Park starting 3PM Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 Friday, April 3rd - 6pm for set up and from 10AM - 5PM Saturday, April 4th and Sunday, April 5th for the event, and
WHEREAS, there will be a $5.00 entrance fee and they will need barricades and power stations, and
WHEREAS, they will provide portable toilets, and
WHEREAS, they have been advised that they will need to provide a copy of their business license, liability insurance, alcohol sales license and insurance, and they will need to have off duty police officers on site ...
