WHEREAS, Beavers that are building dams are creating drainage issues in several locations within the city, and
WHEREAS, the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspections Services-Wildlife Services will provide wildlife management services and control the beavers,
WHEREAS, we currently have a service agreement with USDA's Cooperative Services and would like to extend the contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the execution of the extended agreement for wildlife damage management and control services with the USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services from September 30, 2025 to March 16, 2026.
SECTION 2: Approves an additional funding amount not to exceed $3,000 for wildlife damage management and control services under Account No. 100-3020-6012.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
