Description of Topic: The FY18 Budget approved a full-time, permanent, Secretary/Office Asssitant position for the Foley PD (estimated pay grade of G-7) to start fourth quarter of FY18. After reviewing the position, it is now recommended that this position be titled "Patrol Secretary" and also be upgraded to a G-9 pay grade which is the same pay grade as the CID Secretary. No budget adjustment is necessary for this action.

WHEREAS, The FY18 Budget approved a full-time, permanent, Secretary/Office Asssitant position for the Foley PD (estimated pay grade of G-7) to start fourth quarter of FY18, and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the position, it is now recommended that this position be titled "Patrol Secretary" and also be upgraded to a G-9 pay grade which is the same pay grade as the CID Secretary.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes an amendment to the Pay Classification Plan to change job title of "Secretary/Office Assistant" to "Patrol Secretary" and to raise the pay grade from a G-7 to a G-9.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
