WHEREAS, City of Foley Engineering Department requests permission from council to apply for the ALDOT Rebuild Alabama Act Annual Grant Program in order to fund Add Alternative #1 or #2 of the intersection improvements to County Road 12 & Foley Beach Express, and
WHEREAS, the maximum award is $250,000 with no match requirements, and
WHEREAS, the grant application is due November 30, 2019 with grant decisions to be announced no later than January 15, 2020.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request from City of Foley Engineering Department to apply for the ALDOT Rebuild Alabama Act Annual Grant Program in order to fund Add Alternative #1 or #2 of the intersection improvements to County Road 12 & Foley Beach Express.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
